The Benefits of Meditation

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. These days, meditation is commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction.

You know the saying “Mind over Matter” – Meditation is a the perfect example of how we can use the mind to heal physical and emotional distress.  Our mind is like a muscle we need to keep working on our strength and flexibility to get through life’s every day ups and downs.  Our thoughts are what create our reality – and meditation can help clear the mind, and change negative thoughts to positive ones.

Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and peace of mind.

When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress.

Join us every Sunday at 6pm for Guided Meditation.   This class starts with a light stretch, then goes into a guided meditation focusing on a positive theme for that week.  This class includes the use of aromatherapy and sound healing.
